Short Course in CARE CERTIFICATE INDUCTION (SKILLS FOR CARE)

The Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards as part of your induction process as a new Health and Social Care Worker. It identifies the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed and consist of 15 standards that should be covered if you are ‘new to care’. The standards are: Understand your role, Your personal development, Duty of care, Equality and diversity, Work in a person centred way ,Communication, Privacy and dignity, Fluids and nutrition, Awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities, Safeguarding adults, Safeguarding children, Basic life support, Health and safety, Handling information and Infection prevention and control.
