Adult Care Workers/ Personal Assistants (Level 2) are expected to have the right values and behaviours developing competences and skills to provide high quality compassionate care and support. By the end of the course the following personal attributes and behaviours expected of all adult care workers in their roles which are Care, Compassion, Courage, Communication, Competence and Commitment. The Care Certificate must be achieved as part of the apprenticeship standard as well as Functional Skills English and Maths Level 1.
Duration – 12-18 months
On completion of the apprenticeship standards, each apprentice will be prepared for the gateway assessment after which an end-point assessment will be done by an End Point Assessor that has no link with the training provider.
Non- Apprenticeship Route(Stand Alone)
The same qualification for the apprenticeship standards apply to the four stratum of the care profession starting from adult care worker to leader in adult care with the exception of not doing functional skills in English and maths as well as End-Point Assessment.
